Fuji Rock Festival
Brand Identity
Motion Design
Fuji Rock Festival is Japan’s largest outdoor music festival, held every summer at the Naeba Ski Resort in Niigata Prefecture. Since its beginning at the base of Mount Fuji in 1997, it has grown into a global celebration of music, nature, and community—a place where music and nature collide in the most immersive way.

For this rebranding project, I developed a graphic system that visualizes the festival’s vibrant energy—drawing inspiration from the unique shapes of its four main stages and the way light radiates from them during performances.

I also focused on one of the festival’s defining features—its setting in nature. I drew from keywords that evoke nature—balance, harmony, and beauty—and used simplified stage shapes to create patterns that reflect how nature, the stage, and the festival experience seamlessly merge into one. These patterns visually express the essence of Fuji Rock in a dynamic and energetic way, reinforcing its unique identity.
